The gold market has continued to show resilience, with February 2025 seeing prices reach new highs driven by a weaker U.S. dollar and growing geopolitical risks. One major contributor to this surge has been the inflow into gold exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which saw 100 metric tons of gold added during the month, marking the third consecutive month of positive inflows. This demand reflects investors' ongoing preference for gold as a safe haven amid rising inflation expectations and global instability

.

Similarly, private credit markets are adapting to the current economic landscape. JPMorgan Asset Management is preparing to launch its first private credit interval fund, aiming to capitalize on the growing demand for alternative investments. The fund seeks to provide investors with access to private credit opportunities, offering higher yields as an alternative to traditional fixed-income investments. This move comes as interest in non-public debt continues to rise amid the uncertainties of the post-pandemic economy gold, central banks are maintaining their bullish stance. January 2025 saw continued gold purchases, reflecting the belief that bullion remains a strategic asset during periods of high inflation and geopolitical tension. Central banks have been net buyers of gold, seeing it as a hedge against currency risk and global uncertainties.

The gold market and private credit are expected to perform well in the face of ongoing geopolitical tensions, inflation concerns, and shifts in monetary policy. These markets represent attractive options for investors looking to diversify and safeguard their portfolios during uncertain times.
